The gamepad is a bit slower and less accurate to use than the mouse, however the speed of the gamepad can be increased by holding the R1 button at the cost of pointer accuracy. This trainer works for both games in the remastered collection (Command & Conquer and Red Alert). This sidebar setup is reminiscent of the sidebar used in later C&C games as of Red Alert 2. Hotkeys and toggle buttons only active during battle (can’t activate cheats in main menu/before battle). If attempted, the "unable to comply, building in progress" message will be sounded. The sidebar is split up into 7 categories:Įven though there are different sections for structures, they cannot be both used at the same time. When not in use, the sidebar is translucent. The UI is adapted for use with the PlayStation gamepad and the PlayStation mouse. Retaliation uses the same control scheme as Red Alert for the PlayStation. It should be noted that both types of Tesla tanks in Retaliation are represented: the prototype based on the Radar jammer from Counterstrike and the final Tesla tank from Aftermath. Specific units such as Volkov, the Soviet Super tank and Allied stolen nuclear armed MiG also appear in certain missions.
Special Aftermath units such as the Tesla tank, Field mechanic, MAD tank, and Chrono tank are available in later missions. Instead of the main force deciding the outcome of the war, the player is assigned to a certain auxiliary command - in the Allies' case, an American detachment led by general Carville, while Soviet commander is under the command of general Topolov, both of which have been entrusted with several "secret projects". Weirdly none of the videos on mission one worked, but a lot of the 2nd mission videos do work, except I think "Blair presenting" didn't.The campaigns in Retaliation are similar for Allies and Soviets.
(This was still using vivaldi the chromium based browser) Weirdly none of the videos on mission one worked, but a lot of the 2nd mission videos do work, except I think "Blair presenting" didn't. Even more a reload from a previous save says you have no money if you lost in the save earlier. Small bug, if you lose all your money to Lucy via the blackjack, ask for therapy and play again, it shows you have 100, but you have nothing and can't play. Some of the text doesn't stand out too well, like Morale on the left, and wish the % choices had their own boxes. Wish the left hand area was organized a bit better, so as to maybe eliminate scrolling, or the things at the bottom were more static. I am not a fan of the boxes for the choices, doesn't feel like it fits well with the UI, especially with the whole cold war era look. Maybe a background image/video that could give ambiance. I would like some use of the surrounding space of the middle interface. Player always being left and other people on right during conversations is easy and intuitive, color coded speech is also really good. Hopefully in the future it will have more pizazz
